This still life features a diverse arrangement of miscellaneous objects unique in size, shape, and color, yet they all share one aspect in common: they were found in local antique stores. In this piece, I sought to highlight these neglected items by utilizing a long form composition to urge the viewer's eye to pan across each item. The child-like perspective, achieved from measuring proportions while sitting at a low angle, is a figurative representation of the child-like wonder I feel regarding the backstories of each individual item. How did these objects end up in their respective store? How were they used prior?
